New records of vascular plants from the Republic of Uzbekistan

Abstract

This paper presents new data on the distribution of four species belonging to the families Asteraceae, Caryophyllaceae, Cyperaceae, and Fabaceae in Uzbekistan. Cousinia albertoregelia and Silene baldshuanica are newly recorded for the flora of Uzbekistan. Carex pycnostachya is recorded for the first time in the Western Hissar botanical-geographical district. Additionally, new localities of another Central Asian endemic, Oxytropis baissunensis have been discovered on the Babatag and Kuhitang mountain ranges. For each species, information about the new localities and photographs of herbarium specimens are provided.
