Chromosome numbers of endemic species legumes (Fabaceae) of the Caucasian flora from Dagestan
Abstract
The chromosome numbers (2n) and ploidy levels (nx) of 15 endemic species of Fabaceae of the Caucasian flora from Republic of Dagestan are presented. For the first time they are revealed in Astragalus daghestanicus Grossh. (2n = 16), A. fissuralis F. N. Alex. (2n = 16), Hedysarum daghestanicum Rupr. ex Boiss. (2n = 16), Medicago hemicoerulea Sinskaya (2n = 16 and 2n = 16 + 2B), Oxytropis dasypoda Rupr. ex Boiss. (2n = 16), and Trifolium raddeanum Trautv. (2n = 16). New chromosome numbers (cytotypes) are revealed for Astragalus haesitabundus Lipsky (2n = 32) and Onobrychis daghestanica Grossh. (2n = 14). Previously known chromosome numbers are confirmed for Astragalus buschiorum Galushko (2n = 16), A. captiosus Boriss. (2n = 16), A. onobrychioides M. Bieb. (2n = 16), A. salatavicus Bunge (2n = 16), Medicago daghestanica Rupr. ex Boiss. (2n = 16), M. virescens Grossh. (2n = 32) and Onobrychis bobrovii Grossh. (2n = 14).Downloads
