The purpose of the journal:
Contribute to the development of botanical science, reflecting the main directions, trends and results of research of plant kingdom in Russia and abroad.
Objectives:
1. Study of floristic diversity of temperate Eurasia.
2. Distribution of botanical knowledge.
3. Ensuring the exchange of views between researchers from different regions and countries and, as a result, the expansion of the communication and cooperation between Russian and foreign scientists.
4. Promotion the conservation of biodiversity, expanding knowledge about it.
5. Help the growth of qualification of scientific staff.
The journal is intended for a wide range of scientists and specialists: botanists, ecologists, resource researchers, molecular biologists.
The journal “Turczaninowia” is included in the list of leading peer-reviewed scientific journals and publications (HAC RF).
For publication in the journal “Turczaninowia” we take previously unpublished original research articles, reviews, short reports, relevant the topics of the journal. It is possible to publish articles in Russian and/or English. Publication language is determined by the author. Received articles are subject to mandatory review, and then the editorial board makes a decision on the possibility of their publication in the journal. The decision to publish is taken by the editorial board of the journal based on scientific merit and relevance of the submissions.
Articles about new floristic findings and new taxa must be confirmed by herbarium material, which should be sent to the editorial office.
Publication in the journal is free for all authors.
All submitted manuscipts are subjected to a single-blind peer review process.
“Turczaninowia”
Publishes articles in full open access format which are easily accessible for scientific community.
“Turczaninowia” does not have any income source.

The scientific journal "Turczaninowia" was founded in 1998 in the Altai State University by the employees of South Siberian Botanical Garden with the active participation of the President of the Russian Botanical Society, Corresponding Member of Russian Academy of Sciences, prof. R. V. Kamelin.
During the existence of the journal it became known among russian botanists, as well as near and far abroad. The journal is well respected in the russian-speaking academic environment and in demand of foreign colleagues. Since 2009, the journal is included in the list of scientific publications recommended by HAC RF.
