Abstract
This article provides information about the discovery of a new species for the flora of Azerbaijan, Allium oschaninii (Amaryllidaceae). Allium oschaninii is found in the Ordubad district of Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic near the village of Kotam and the Mamadayin gorge. As a result of the study of literary sources and analysis of herbarium materials on the genus Allium, collected during numerous expeditions across the territory of Azerbaijan and stored in the Herbarium Fund of the Botany Institute and the Institute of Genetic Resources, references to the species A. oschaninii were not detected.
