On the systematic position of the genus Antonina Vved. (Lamiaceae)
Abstract
Antonina Vved. is recognized as a separate genus based on primarily morphological characters, first of all, calyx and leaf venation. The full synonymy for Antonina debilis (Bunge) Vved. is given including the new synonym, Calamintha caroli-henricana Kit Tan et Sorger. A new form (A. debilis f. eglandulosa Melnikov) is described, and three names (Thymus debilis Bunge, Calamintha annua Schrenk, and Calamintha caucasica Somm. et Lev.) are lectotypified. Antonina debilis is recorded for the first time from Turkey.
