Abstract

A new species from Evenkiya, Polygonum evenkiense (Polygonaceae Juss.), belonging to the type section and subsection of the genus is described. The new species differs from the close one, P. neglectum Besser, by flat leaf blades, lower surface with inconspicuous lateral veins, and by ochrea silver almost all over the surface and with fewer veins (4–6); by a larger, 3(2.8) mm long, perianth and a fruit 2.5 mm long. The species is described based on materials from the Herbarium of V. P. Astafyev Krasnoyarsk State Pedagogical University collected during the field season of 2019 in Evenkiya by F. S. Yuzefovich.
