In the Altai together with Rudolf Vladimirovich Kamelin
Abstract
It is reported about the first expedition to Altai in 2000 with Rudolf Vladimirovich Kamelin. He not only introduced me to wonderful region, diversity of plants and a large group of his students, but also showed, how to work in populous expeditions, collect and process herbarium, take notes in a field diary. As a result of the first expedition Rudolf V. Kamelin planned a research of Iris species in Russia. The collected plant material from different parts of Russia considerably enlarged the collection of wild species of the genus in Iridarium. Studies have confirmed that one of the plants was not described by anyone. The species is named in honor of my Teacher Rudolf V. Kamelin – Iris kamelinii. Later there were many expeditions, but the most fruitful, of course, with the Teacher!Downloads
